How to install Vereloop Finance on your phone
Vereloop Finance runs in your browser — but you do not have to bookmark a tab every time you check spending. Install it as a Progressive Web App (PWA) and it behaves like a native app: full-screen icon on your home screen, fast launch, same Parse and Analyze pages you use on desktop. No App Store or Play Store download required.
This guide covers Android (Chrome) and iPhone (Safari). After installing, sign in at auth once; your session persists like any mobile app. For a visual walkthrough, see the install section on our Get Started page.
What you get with the installed app
- Home screen icon — launch Vereloop Finance in one tap
- Standalone window — no browser address bar cluttering the view
- Same features — upload PDFs, categorize, analyze, set reminders
- Automatic updates — refresh the app by opening it; no manual store updates
PWAs are ideal for finance tools you open weekly, not daily social feeds — lightweight, no store review delays, works on phones and tablets.
Android — Chrome
- Open Chrome and go to finance.vereloop.com (or your local dev URL).
- Sign in if prompted so Parse and Analyze are ready after install.
- Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner.
- Tap Install app or Add to Home screen — wording varies by Chrome version.
- Confirm the name Vereloop Finance and tap Install or Add.
- Find the icon on your home screen or app drawer; open it like any other app.
Some Android builds show an install banner at the bottom of the page the first time you visit — tap Install there if you prefer.
iPhone and iPad — Safari
Apple does not use the word “install” in Safari — you Add to Home Screen instead:
- Open Safari (PWAs on iOS require Safari, not Chrome alone).
- Navigate to finance.vereloop.com.
- Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing up.
- Scroll the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Edit the label if you want, then tap Add in the top-right.
- The Vereloop Finance icon appears on your home screen; tap to open in standalone mode.
iOS may ask you to confirm notifications separately if you enable reminder alerts — allow only if you want push-style nudges for bill dates.
Desktop Chrome (optional)
On Windows, macOS, or ChromeOS, look for the install icon in the address bar (⊕ or computer-with-arrow). Click it to install Vereloop Finance as a desktop app — handy when you upload PDFs from your computer but want a dedicated window without other tabs.
After install
- Open the installed app and verify you are signed in — visit auth if not.
- Upload a statement from Files or Downloads using the Parse flow.
- Pin the app to your dock or first home screen page if you check spending often.

Troubleshooting
- No install option? Clear private mode — PWAs require a normal browsing session.
- Old icon? Remove the home screen shortcut and add again after a major update.
- iOS opens Safari instead? You launched from a bookmark, not the home screen icon — use the icon created by Add to Home Screen.
- Login loops? Allow cookies for the site; sign in once via auth, then reopen the installed app.
Why PWA instead of a store app?
Store apps add friction — search, download, update notifications — for a tool you might use a few times a month. A PWA ships with the website, stays current automatically, and skips store policies that sometimes block honest finance utilities. You get app-like access without another account tied to Apple or Google.
